VMX governance board

Hello to all AMOs!

On May 7th, at the VAN annual meeting, we will be holding elections for the VMX governance board. There are three seats opening up. I am sending this message in hopes that you will nominate at least one member of your organization to run for the board. It's an exciting time for the VMX project as we are very near to having all Vermont AMOs online!!! Hopefully, by the time of the elections, we will have completed this part of the process. In the coming months we will need creative people to help move the project to the next level.

Now, I know what many of you are saying. "I just don't have the time…" Well, let me just say that being on the VMX governance board is not very time consuming. We meet every few weeks using Skype audio conferencing. Don't worry if you don't have a Skype account. It's free, easy to set up, and can be done right from your AMO's VMX iMac. The meetings usually last between 60 and 90 minutes and it's probably the easiest board of directors you could possibly serve on.

If you are interested, or have someone in your organization who you think would serve the board well, please send me an email with your/their name, affiliated AMO, job title, and a brief (1 to 5 sentences) bio or description of why you are interested in being on the board. Please make the subject title of the email "VMX board candidate submission" so that I can find and organize the submissions expeditiously.
