ACM-NE Spring Conference Information

The Alliance for Community Media Northeast Region spring conference is being held this year in New Brunswick, NJ. This is the same conference that was held last year in Burlington. It's being held in New Jersey because we are combining the conference with another region (ACM Mid Atlantic). I'm on the conference committee and it's looking like it's going to be well worth the trip and expense if you can afford it.

Here is the link for more info and to register.

Also the ACM-NE Board does offer a scholarship for each state chapter. The scholarship covers the cost of the registration and meals. If anyone would like to apply for the scholarship, I've attached the application to this post. Application are due by the end of the business day on April 24th.

Thanks and I hope to see lots of Vermonters in New Jersey.

Town Meeting and Social Media

Just a quick reminder to folks that the Town Meeting Day social media project will be happening again this year at http://tmdvt.net. Many of you might remember a similar project at the Alliance for Community Media Northeast conference last year. Like the ACMNE project you can tag content related to this year's town meetings on Twitter, You Tube, blip.tv, Flickr and Delicious. For those of you out there covering meetings, shooting video, taking pictures and live tweeting, tag your content with "tmdvt10" ("#tmdvt" for Twitter) when you upload it to the web, then follow all the action from around Vermont on http://tmdvt.net.

Thank you for your participation!
